Kate is the Director of Consultancy Services at Egnida Consulting (formerly Encraft). The company joined forces with the Egnida Group last summer to offer much wider integrated services including smart energy systems and future mobility solutions. The new group structure ensures clients have a turnkey solution from strategy and project scoping through management and installation, with a stronger focus on the integration of ultra-low emission vehicles as an essential part of the energy picture. Kate is a chartered mechanical engineer and has led landmark projects in the energy industry including producing regional energy strategies for Marches LEP, Lancashire LEP, Stoke and Staffordshire LEP and Worcestershire LEP, district heating feasibility in Liverpool waterfront, an energy storage strategy for Cornwall and a series of innovation projects, the most recent being a feasibility study on using electric vehicle car parking at UK Central as an aggregated battery to mitigate grid constraints.
