Matthew is the project finance director for Metka EGN, a solar developer and EPC contractor which is majority-owned by Mytilineos Holdings, an Athens-listed energy/industrial conglomerate. He joined Metka EGN in early 2018 to cover structuring and financing of projects within the development team. Metka EGN is a world-class developer, EPC and O&M contractor for the full range of solar and storage applications, ranging from stand-alone solar parks and storage applications to complex hybrid projects, with a track record of approximately 1 GW of projects built around the world.
Prior to joining Metka EGN, Matthew worked in power and infrastructure financing in London since 2007, at Mizuho Bank, BNP Paribas, CBA and several advisory firms. During this time he has advised on and structured financing transactions with major European and GCC utilities, Japanese trading houses, financial investors, governments and start-ups, in the UK, continental Europe and the Middle East. Projects have ranged across sectors including onshore and offshore wind, solar PV, conventional generation, transmission/ distribution, water desalination, hydro, biomass, waste-to-energy, transport and environmental technologies. Matthew has BSC in Physics from UWA in Perth, a PhD in Materials Engineering from UNSW in Sydney and worked for two years in the Cambridge University Engineering Department as a postdoctoral research fellow.
